Chillennium is the world's largest student-run collegiate game jam. Hosted annually by the School of Performance, Visualization, & Fine Arts, Chillennium is founded, staffed, and organized by students of Texas A&M University.
The participants of the event have forty-eight hours to plan, design, and develop a video game from scratch based on a theme. At the end of the forty-eight hours, the games are played and judges by a panel of experts and winners are awarded prizes.
Chillennium 2024 was held March 1st through the 3rd and had nearly 300 participants from 25 schools. This year I had the privilege of serving as TV Lead for the event. As TV Lead, I was responsible for creating a teaser trailer, a day of video, an awards video, and filming b-roll and taking pictures of the event while it happened. I was also responsible for leading a committee of volunteers. I held regular meetings to delegate responsibilities and check in on the volunteers' progress.
