Extended Day Communications Associate Project 2025
Project 1: Social Media Strategy & Content Calendar
I created a social media content calendar in Google Sheets based on a first week at camp schedule. I worked with the school's colors to keep everything cohesive and easy to read. The calendar provides the options to prepare captions and determine how many photos/videos will be needed before each post. The calendar also provides the options to determine which platform will be used and status of each post. This allows everyone working on the social media team to collaborate and be on the same page. I have added three social media mockups based on the content calendar.

Project 2: Family Communication Email Draft
To communicate the change clearly and minimize confusion, I included the street names by the school in the draft email. To warmly express the change, I added that the school apologizes for any inconvenience and the parents are welcomed to call with any questions. I also created a letterhead that matched the school's branding to provide the camp families a sense of familiarity.
Project 3: Portfolio Submission

When capturing camp-like environments, I think it is important capturing the joy the campers feel when participating in fun activities. I achieve this by blending into the crowd so the children are not distracted by the camera and to avoid anyone becoming camera shy. The best camp-like photos are taken when the children are enjoying the moment they are in without worrying about a camera focusing on them. When looking for joyous and meaningful moments to capture, I look for children who are comfortable in their environment. For me bright smiles shared between friends and mentors help create meaningful moments.
